Intermediate #1
What Do I Know?
- Take off without knees
- Paddle autonomy
- The difference between inside (white water) /outside (green waves)
Goals
- Take-off in a ´green wave´ (before it breaks)
- Paddling (technique and timing)
- Positioning in the water
What to expect
- Introduction to the outside: green waves, line-up, positioning, channel and currents (theory)
- Additional safety rules (currents, rip currents, wipe out); (theory)
- Paddling out, positioning, sitting on board and turning; (theory and practice)
- Wave reading, paddling and timing (practice);
- Take-off technique in vertical drop (theory and practice);
- Dropping and journey straight ahead in the green wave (theory and practice);
Intermediate #2
What Do I Know?
- Take-off on green waves
- Positioning and paddling
Goals
- Cutting the wave (left or right)
- Explore the length and the high of the wave
- Learning to generate speed
- High level of autonomy
What to expect
- Review safety rules and surf etiquette (theory);
- Perfecting take-off in vertical drop (more precision and speed) (theory and practice);
- Line-up positioning (theory and practice);
- Introduction of the turning (bottom-turn, paddling in angle, surfing down the line (theory and practice);
- Learn to select waves with potential (theory and practice);
- Less help (push) from the coach
Intermediate #3
What Do I Know?
- Catching and cutting green waves
- Paddling autonomy
- Generating speed
- Selecting waves
Goals
- Learning and /or perfecting key maneuvers (bottom-turn, top-turn, roudhouse)
- Learning /or perfecting duck dive technique
- Learning to adjust the goals to the ocean conditions
What to expect
- Surf etiquette (rules, priority and safety) (theory and practice);
- Duck dive technique; (theory and practice);
- Working on maneuvers and body position (theory and practice);
- Perfecting trimming (theory and practice);
- Selection of waves (theory and practice);
- Less quantity and more quality of waves (theory and practice);
